Care to Listen - Listen to Care

The Royal Voluntary Service (RVS) was successful in securing funding from the Big Lottery Fund’s Community Voice Programme to develop the project “Care to Listen – Listen to Care” Set up in 2013, the project aims to give people who live in residential homes in the Gwent area a voice to influence decisions about services in their area.

This is achieved by families and service providers working together to design and deliver better services. Friendly, chatty volunteers, listen to residents and their families and work with the care providers to identify ways in which the services could be more tailored to the needs of the residents. The project seeks to support the care providers, adding value to what they offer and sharing good practice.
