National Safeguarding Week 14th - 18th November 2016

During this week a number of events will be taking place in recognition of National Safeguarding week in Wales.

The Gwent-wide Adult Safeguarding Board has created this short video clip to reinforce that safeguarding is everyones responsibility

In the South East Wales region the Gwent Wide Adult Safeguarding Board (GWASB) in conjunction with the Safeguarding Children Board and the Violence Against Women. Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence Strategic Partnership are working together to deliver a number of activities throughout the week.

  • the launch of GWASB media clip raising awareness of adult abuse
  • the launch of a suite of information for schools to raise awareness about Child Sexual Exploitation for young people
  • Domestic Abuse Awareness training
  • A collaboratively funded drama production for young people across the region to raise awareness of a range of safeguarding concerns for young people 
  • DASH & MARAC training
  • Regional Safeguarding Conference for professional and volunteers
